Spaghetti a traditional Italian Food now wellknown internationally. Spaghetti recipe is basically easy recipe with many variation of flavour .
Here's a Spaghetti Bolognese recipe for a perfect evening meal.
Ingredients :
500g Minced Beef
1 chopped onion
180g chopped carrots
1 tablespoonful olive oil
2 chopped celery sticks
2 tins chopped tomatoes
large squirt of tomato puree
1 clove crushed garlic
2 beef stock cubes
2 bay leaves
150 ml water
400g dried spaghetti package ( or make your own Pasta Base see link " Pasta Base Recipe ")
Cooking Direction :
Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over a medium heat
Add the minced beef and cook till browned.
Add the onion, carrots, garlic and celery.
Cook till they are slightly soft, but make sure they do not brown.
Add the tomatoes, tomato puree, stock cubes made up with 150ml boiling water, and the bay leaves, stir
Bring the heat down to a low level
Cook till the carrots and celery are soft, this can take anything up to 1 hour 30 mins.
For a really rich flavour make sure you stir the sauce to break up the minced beef and the tomatoes, this can also be done with a potato masher if you wish.
Take out the bay leaves just before serving.
Cook the spaghetti according the instructions on the package
Drain
Serve the spaghetti with the bolognese sauce on top
Garnish with parmesan cheese, and some basil leaves (if desired)
